I have been teaching 40 years…and while that may sound like a lot of years…because I am so focused on the present, each day continues to fill me up…
I chose to write about this today because I noticed that I got goosebumps as a student raised her hand and asked me if her group could do the challenge that I proposed to a group of students who were performing at a more advanced level. My students know that my philosophy is, “if you can you should!” I do try to have all my kids challenge themselves, stretch, and do their personal best. Today, I just didn’t see that coming…and was truly touched by her request.
- I love being the mirror that reflects students’ gifts and talents…
- I love how the students inspire me…
- I love how the students challenge me and spark reflection…
- I love how students forgive my imperfections…
- I love that each student is unique and special…
- I love that students inquire, question, and wonder…
- I love that students love to learn…
- I love helping students build their confidence and nurture their leadership skills…
- I love contributing to students’ growth and reaching their potential…
- I love building our safe, caring, warm, accepting, innovative, community where my students and I can learn from each other.
Looking forward to reading your SOLSC posts.
